£33,000 rising to £40,000 once second home opens 9am – 5pm

To deliver high quality care to the children and young people resident within the home.

To assist the Registered Manager in the delivery of all care services, as well as the strategic planning for the home, and day to day management matters.

Main Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team at a well-established children’s residential home. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the management and leadership of the home, ensuring a child-centred approach.

Support and supervise staff, promoting professional development and team cohesion.

Ensure the home meets all Ofsted requirements and maintains a “Good” or “Outstanding” rating.

Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.

Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.

Maintain accurate records and reports in line with regulatory standards.

Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent (Level 5 desirable) .

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a residential childcare setting.

Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and relevant legislation.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with external agencies and families.

Driving Licence
